My work involves attaching found materials often unrelated in nature, to a static surface. My intention is to find a commonality of purpose, a unity through chaos by combining a tangled mass of colors, forms, and mediums.

What attracts me to assemble disparate and harmonious elements, is the other to be found between extremes. A new relationship gleaned from some intangible, universal interconnectedness that is innate to all opposites. To find the magnetic force between polarities is the motivating force that guides my work and the seemingly random assemblages, that result.

My work is inspired by twenty-two years of parenthood. Raising three children and juggling my passion for art making, travel, and motorcycles, I'm in a constant search for that median between wants and needs. There the natural opposition of parent/child/siblings/art/ the road and self, struggle to find a point of calm cohesion, the port in the storm.

Then, on my Suzuki Intruder, in an ever-changing landscape, the chaos and clarity of man and nature, wind, weather, mountain, desert, starlight, and road, combine to mark a clarity of my own purpose. That collects randomly and deliberately and like my self returning home, plants itself firmly to a static plane to begin again, life imitating art and vice versa, growing organically, exponentially. Harmony within chaos.
